There is a nothing like motherhood that will slap you wide awake to your health and the daily choices you make. I used to be the girl carrying little bottles of Advil and TUMS and allergy meds everywhere I went. Completely focused on quick fixes and never really how to get WELL. And like most new moms, I got tired of feeling tired and started looking for better for me, my home and my kids. It was a slippery slope at first, I admittedly over-indexed to the point of obsession about every single thing we were consuming or using during the pandemic (oof, anyone else?). Over the last five years, I've found what I think is the right balance of clean products and simple, healthful choices mixed with joy, DoorDash and sometimes wine. I think the key to staying well isn't eliminating every single "bad" thing from your life, but finding the balance in all that you enjoy and trying not to obsess too much.
No one will ever care about your health (or your family's health) as much as you do. No one's got as much skin in the game. No one else is answering that call for mama at 3am. So lean into what you can control. Little wins over perfection always.
